A very appropriate topic, I’d say, considering the note yesterday ended on. π
What was the first Zelda game I completed?
Well, I’ve already waxed eloquent on how I failed to complete Legend of Zelda.
I suffered a very similar fate in Adventure of Link. I went from one end of that game to another, and I just could not find out what I was supposed to do next. That was actually a fairly common problem in those days. I failed at Simon’s Quest for the same reason (I had no idea that I was supposed to kneel next to the water to unlock another area).
The same thing happened almost instantaneously when I tried Link’s Awakening. Notice a pattern forming here? One where I am left asking, βWhat the heck am I supposed to do next?β
I probably would have suffered the same fate in Majora’s Mask without the player’s guide. The Great Bay area was a nightmare. It was a very confusing nightmare.
I got a good ways into Link to the Past, and I forget what happened there, but I’ve still never beaten that one either.
So, the first one I beat?
Yes, Ocarina, with it’s well-structured plot that always told you where you needed to go next! π
There is a reason it’s my favorite. π
I told you it would appear frequently on this challenge! π
Phantom Hourglass for me. I beat that a few times.
