In addition to being one of the more hilarious lines in a funny movie, there is a particular nugget of wisdom here.

When one approach to a problem has been tried many times by many people and has consistently met with absolute failure, then it is time to change tactics! You have thoroughly discovered the wrong way of doing things, it is now time to try something different, outside the box. Worst-case scenario, you fail anyway, but as long as you’re doing something that isn’t already proven to fail, there may be a chance at success.
