Doctor Who Challenge Day 11: Least Favorite Episode

“The Doctor, the Widow, and the Wardrobe”

Unlike searching for my favorite episode, this was quick and easy.

I only watched this episode one time, and it was just so… lackluster.

It felt longer than any other episode, so protracted, and all of it just to create a reason for the Doctor to go reunite with Amy and Rory.

It repeated the exact same scene twice, with the men in the airplane, who, though they are saved, will now have to deal with charges of desertion in a time of war.

The Doctor had a genuine case of genocide at the hands of a corporation on his hands, and he did nothing to rectify the situation. In fact, he was pretty much useless for the entire episode.

It’s not the worst episode ever, it’s just very lesser compared to everything immediately around it. Like they said, “Eh, we don’t need to worry or think too much about this one, let’s just bang out another special we can loosely tie to Christmas, no need to put any actual effort into it.”

…and, this might be the shortest post I ever do, but I don’t really have anything else to say about it.
